A diagnosis of cancer is the start of a unique journey, one that can often be challenging. To guide and support patients, and their families, OjaiCARES cancer support center offers all services free of charge to cancer patients.

Our peer support team can provide guidance and resources every step along the cancer journey from diagnosis to treatment to survivorship.

OjaiCARES services include:

• Emotional support, including one-on-one time, support groups, oncology massage, Reiki,     reflexology, guided imagery, patient navigation, and yoga.
• Answering questions and providing educational materials on cancer and specific types of cancer
• Making important connections with community support services and resources
• Help to identify any barriers to care and locate the resources to overcome them.
• Survivorship support

Support Groups work to meet the following needs of patients, survivors, caregivers, family and friends:
•To provide a place where emotions can be expressed and not judged
•Foster a sense of community and inclusions with others experiencing similar challenges
•To make available opportunities for education and information
