Programs and Services (an overview)
We provide an array of services free of charge for people with cancer as well as their family and caregivers, including patient navigation, advocacy, weekly support groups, a caregiver support program, oncology massage and skincare, Reiki, guided imagery, therapeutic yoga, a lending library and boutique for hats, wigs, etc. We also hold community-wide events. In 2015 and 2016, we ran 8 health education programs with over 450 participants on an array of topics, including new cancer therapies, the psycho-social journey of the cancer patient, and nutrition and cancer. In 2017, we’ve launched monthly Community Tea Talks to explore conscious living and dying.
